About

The Friends of the Willis Library, Inc. (FOWL) was established to support the R.F. Meador Branch of the Montgomery County Memorial Library System.

In connection with the branch library, the organization seeks to promote civic, humanitarian and socially important projects that may serve to imporve the quality of life for its citizens, both children and adults. Interacting with groups within the community, FOWL members hope to increas awareness in the general population of the Library's current services, resources and benefits to the community.

FOWL provides financial support for programming and materials at the Meador Branch Library by soliciting books and materials for re-sale, holding regularly scheduled book sales and organizing the Book Nook for on-going sales within the library. The Friends of the Willis Library maintains a 501(C)3 status, and all donations are tax deductible.

Members of the Friends strive to be present at library activities and support library staff with special activities and programs, as well as items not available with County funds.

Members of the Friends of the Wilils Library maintain regular communication with the Friends organizations from the other Montgomery County Memorial Library branch libraries and with the county library infrastructure to provide comprehensive support for the library system.
