Job Fair

The YMCA, the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library, and the South Regional Library annual Job Fair will be on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM. Meet employers and attend our workshops. This year our Job Fair is open to ages 16 and up.

Tween Book Club
At each meeting Tweens aged 9 through 12 will get to discuss that month's book with each other, the Children's Librarian, and the YA Librarian. Call or sign up at the 1st Floor Children's Desk. Age: 9 to 12 years
Seniors Circle Book Club

COMPUTERS:

Computer classes
These classes are free to the public. Patrons who want to participate in these classes need only come into the library and sign up for them at the second floor Reference Desk. All classes take place in the 2nd floor computer lab: Click here for Calendar.

ADULTS:

Seniors Circle Book Club

First Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM (2 separate sessions). This book club is geared toward seniors, but it is open to adults 18 and up. We will discuss both fiction and nonfiction titles.

  • May 5th (“Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell) Registration begins Apr. 8th (2 sessions at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM).

Family Game Night

Join us the first Monday of every month for at your library. Bring the whole family, and play family-friendly board games. Many games will be provided, and light refreshments will be served. All ages are welcome, and families are encouraged to bring food and drinks. Note: this is an entire-family event, and parents should attend with their children. 6-8 p.m.
