 Request an Item the Library does not Already Own

PLEASE NOTE THESE RESTRICTIONS:
  • Only One Title  per request, please.
  • If you are requesting Genealogy material, please note that it will have to be sent to the Genealogical Library located at the Central Library.  ILL Genealogy materials CANNOT be circulated.
  • New materials less than six months old cannot be ordered through ILL.
  • Circulating materials already owned by  MCMLS cannot be ordered through ILL. Place these items on hold through the library catalog.
  • Allow 2 to 4 weeks for materials to arrive.
  • Please limit requests to five items at a time.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILL) allows us to borrow from libraries across the nation. The Montgomery County Memorial Library System does not charge patrons for Interlibrary Loan requests, however, requests for media/audiovisual, rare books, genealogy, best sellers and other popular, topical works may be limited by the rules of the lending institution. Please allow up to one month to process your request.

Please fill out the form completely, including your name and contact information, the type of material, complete title and author's name.

If your request is for a magazine or newspaper article, be sure to include the title of the magazine or newspaper, the title of the article, the author of the article (if given), as well as the date, volume, and number of the publication.

If you prefer not to use this form you can make a request by phone (936-788-8361) or by coming to the library and filling out an ILL form.
