Public Computers & Wi-Fi
All branches have computers available for internet access and printing. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and access is limited to one hour per day but may be extended to two hours.
All users must adhere to our Internet Use Policy (PDF). Due to the library's filtered internet access, certain sites (including Facebook and YouTube) require a picture ID showing the user is 18 years or older to gain access.
The following programs are available on all public access computers: Chrome browser, Internet Explorer browser, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Apple iTunes, Adobe Reader, and Adobe Digital Editions. Downloading of other programs or software is prohibited on library computers.
Other available computers include Online Public Catalog Computers, which provide access to our online catalog, and AWE Computers, which are equipped with educational and recreational programs for juvenile patrons and do not connect to the internet.
All branches have wireless internet access. No password is required. After connecting to the Wi-Fi, a splash page will show our Terms of Service. To Agree & Connect, click "Continue to the Internet" at the bottom of the page.
Due to the library's filtered internet access, certain sites (including Facebook and YouTube) are not accessible when connected to the Wi-Fi.
Staff will assist library users in getting started with basic computer use as staff time and available of trained personnel permits. Reference staff is not able to offer extensive explanations or training regarding the internet of personal computer use, except during Computer Classes. Due to limited staffing, the library cannot guarantee that appropriately-trained personnel will be available to assist users during all open hours.
